I look to the American example. Decades of policies from the Right have resulted in an absolute decimation of the middle-class. Incomes are down in real terms, fewer people have health insurance, the unemployment rate is at an all-time high, home foreclosures are happening at an alarming rate, and the nation in being crushed under the weight of its own debt - public and private.

The libertarian movement sparked by Senator Goldwater and fulfilled by President Reagan have crippled the United States, perhaps irrevocably.
